Donor Organizations
Since 2019, the Shame Movement has been supported by various institutional donors. Through their contributions, the movement secures organizational sustainability and facilitates the execution of diverse campaigns and initiatives.
National Endowment for Democracy
The National Endowment for Democracy is the largest donor organization of the Shame Movement, with whom the movement has forged a cooperative relationship since 2021. Currently, in collaboration with the foundation, the organization is actively engaged in its fourth project.
European Endowment for Democracy
The European Endowment for Democracy is the movement’s first major donor organization, with which the partnership begins in 2020. With their support, Shame Movement implemented two projects, fostering opportunities for institutional growth and development.
Civil Society Foundation
The Civil Society Foundation (formerly known as the Open Society Foundation) has been a steadfast and longstanding partner of the Shame Movement since its inception. Through the foundation’s consistent support, the organization has successfully executed eight projects over the years.
Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights
With the support of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, the Shame Movement maintained its regional activist centers and strengthened regional activism in 2022.
New Democracy Fund / ActionAid Denmark
Since May 2024, the New Democracy Fund has been supporting the Shame Movement in its mission to empower Georgia’s youth for democratic engagement, particularly in the lead-up to the 2024 parliamentary elections. This project is implemented in partnership with ActionAid Denmark, which is crucial in strengthening our organizational capacity and enhancing our efforts to mobilize young voters across the country.
Prague Civil Society Centre
Since July 2024, the Prague Civil Society Center has funded the Shame Movement, aiding our efforts to ensure fair and transparent elections in Georgia. This funding is crucial in enhancing our election observation mission and promoting democratic participation across the country.
Digital Defenders Partnership
Since May 2024, Digital Defenders Partnership has been a vital supporter of the Shame Movement, helping to strengthen our digital and physical security infrastructure. This support is essential in ensuring the safety and privacy of civil society activists as we continue our advocacy for democratic reforms in Georgia.
Public Donation
Institutional donors of the Shame Movement do not finance activities such as protest campaigns and actions, humanitarian aid, etc. Instead, the organization uses public donations. By donating, you can support the various activities of our movement.
